A Clue Saga

INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL DINING ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY and DETECTIVE LOUIS AMARILLO stand on the small platform-stage at the head of the room by the windows.
HOTEL STAFF busily vacuum the carpets and change the tablecloths from dinner.
DETECTIVE LOUIS AMARILLO
"Brown is finishing up with the interrogations upstairs. He thinks he has everything we need, though. Do you think the evidence alone will trigger a confession?"
INSP. PRY doesn't respond. He stares off into the open doors to the HOTEL LOBBY ahead of him.
DETECTIVE LOUIS AMARILLO
"Pry? You good, man?"
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Excuse me, one moment."
INSP. PRY steps off the platform-stage and heads towards the exit of the HOTEL DINING ROOM.
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL LOBBY - CONTINUOUS
INSP. PRY walks to the front desk where he sees MADAME ROSE BLACK and MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE talking.
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Alphonse, do you mind giving me a moment alone with Rose?"
M. BRUNETTE nods and steps aside with a nod, heading towards the HOTEL DINING ROOM.
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"I went beyond the lake."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"What did you find?"
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Do you know?"
2.
MME ROSE doesn't answer.
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Do you know who I found beyond the lake?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"I never felt Miss Dove's spirit in the halls as we waited. I felt the others. Yvette... so scared and alone. Mr. Clay... so confused and frightened. Ben... playing like a child running through the halls. Even the ghostly echo of Frau Bloom ringing the gong for dinner... but nothing from Miss Dove."
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"I need cold, hard evidence. I can't do anything with cryptic messages and ghosts from the past."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"Can't you? Sometimes the dead can lead us to the light. What was your job in all of this? You looked over the mansion?"
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"I figured out the locations of the murders, Amarillo figured out the weapons, and Brown is figuring out the killer... or killers as it may be."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"Hugh deserved to die, you understand that, don't you? He was troubled. A quick death to end the suffering he caused. That's why I came home to die. Because I knew he'd be gone and I could live out my final days in peace."
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Did you kill him?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"What do you think, Lawrence? Do you think I am capable of murder?"
3.
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Barely anyone said anything about you during the review of the interrogations. Perhaps that's because you sneaking around corridors in the dark isn't unusual and no one feels the need to report a regular occurrence."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"Did you ever find the wrench?"
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"Yes."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"Did you find the birth certificates?"
INSPECTOR LAWRENCE PRY
"What are you talking about?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"For the twins that Mrs. White and Hugh Black had."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL ROOM #1208 - CONTINUOUS
DR. GLENN OLIVE stands before NURSE AVA SILVER and FIVEL DOVE with a smile on his face. COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD lingers in the doorway.
‌DR. GLENN OLIVE
"It's a match. Fivel is your son."
NURSE SILVER grasps FIVEL tightly to her chest.
FIVEL
(excitedly)
"You're my mother!"
NURSE AVA SILVER
(crying from joy)
"Dr. Olive, I can't thank you enough!"
DR. OLIVE nods and turns to leave the room, patting COL. MUSTARD on the shoulder as he exits.
4.
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
(proudly)
"Sometimes you just have to trust your gut. Some things aren't just a hunch."
NURSE AVA SILVER
"Thank you, so much. I-I don't know how to repay you."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"Was it all worth it?"
NURSE SILVER looks down at FIVEL.
NURSE AVA SILVER
"My boy. My sweet boy."
FIVEL smiles up at his mother with bright, happy eyes.
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"We're supposed to head down to the hotel's restaurant in half an hour."
NURSE AVA SILVER
(sighing)
"I know. I'm just ready to get it over with."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"I'm eager to get back to Blackwell Grange and see what they've done to my bedroom."
NURSE AVA SILVER
"I won't be returning back."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"No, I suppose you won't."
NURSE AVA SILVER
"My mother lives on the north side of Pratton. Fivel needs a good home and a fresh start to a new life. I figure that's as good a place as any to restart."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"You're efforts as a mother will never go unappreciated."
5.
NURSE AVA SILVER
"I finally understand it, Colonel. The strength that every mother instinctively has. The urge to do whatever it takes to protect your child and keep the dangerous, terrible people away."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL ROOM #701 - CONTINUOUS
DR. WALTER RAVEN opens his bedroom door to be greeted by his daughter, dressed in green.
MRS. OLIVIA GREEN
"I suppose there is no point in hiding who I am or what I've done."
DR. WALTER RAVEN
"I'm sure Mr. Green will divorce you once the public finds out."
MRS. OLIVIA GREEN
"I need to ask you something and I need you to be honest with me."
DR. RAVEN turns to the desk and picks up a bottle of gin. He pours himself a glass and turns back to his daughter.
MRS. OLIVIA GREEN
"When I suggested something happen at Blackwell Grange in the limousine on the way..."
DR. RAVEN stares at her and begins to smile.
DR. WALTER RAVEN
"Just stop talking."
MRS. GREEN shakes her head no.
MRS. OLIVIA GREEN
"Hugh said he'd pay you by the garden party. Why did we come to the engagement party?"
DR. WALTER RAVEN
"Why don't you get some rest, we need to be downstairs in half and hour. You're going to need the rest."
6.
MRS. OLIVIA GREEN
"Daddy, did you kill Dr. Black?"
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - ELEVATOR - CONTINUOUS
COL. MUSTARD rides the ELEVATOR down to the HOTEL LOBBY. The light begins to flicker on the ceiling of the elevator-car.
COL. MUSTARD smacks it once with his hand and the flickering stops. He winces and grabs his wrist.
He looks down at his wrist and slides his sleeve up over the bruised bone.
COL. MUSTARD grinds his teeth and closes his eyes as he slowly rubs his sore wrist.

FLASHBACK - BLACKWELL GRANGE - THE DINNER PARTY
INT. BILLIARD ROOM - NIGHT
DR. HUGH BLACK rushes into the BILLIARD ROOM to see COL. MUSTARD at the bar with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
DR. HUGH BLACK
"I don't have time to talk about it, Mike. Mrs. White barely let me escape. I need to leave."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
(drunk)
"Let's get you back to the cellar..."
DR. BLACK grabs a pool cue defensively.
DR. HUGH BLACK
"If you lay a fucking hand on me I'll kick your ass. Do you hear me? I need to leave. Right now!"
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"You aren't going anywhere."
DR. BLACK charges at COL. MUSTARD with the pool cue and swings hard.
7.
COL. MUSTARD catches it with his wrist - screaming in pain as the cue strikes him on the wrist bone.
DR. HUGH BLACK
"It's over, Mike. Just leave me be."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"It is over."
COL. MUSTARD sees the WRENCH on the bar and grabs it.
He takes two steps towards DR. BLACK and swings the WRENCH at his head.
The WRENCH makes full contact with DR. BLACK's left temple. Blood seeps out of the busted-open skin.
COL. MUSTARD drops the WRENCH in the pool of blood forming at DR. BLACK's head.
COL. MUSTARD turns back to the bar and finishes the end of the whiskey bottle.
END OF FLASHBACK
COL. MUSTARD is alerted that the ELEVATOR has reached the HOTEL LOBBY as the bell chimes.
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL LOBBY - CONTINUOUS
COL. MUSTARD exits the ELEVATOR and enters the HOTEL DINING ROOM, passing by MRS. BLANCHE WHITE and SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY in the HOTEL LOBBY as he goes.
MRS. BLANcHE WHITE
"I'm having a hard time forgiving myself for the choices I made."
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"My life would have been so much different with you."
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
"There is no promise it would have been better. But it certainly would have been different."
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"There are just things I'm trying to remember, glimpses of the past.
8.
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY (CONT'D)
I try to get a feel for the memory but it always slips away... like waking up from a dream."
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
"I'm so, sorry, Benjamin."
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"Lord Gray must have tried so hard to erase my memories when I went into his care."
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
"I was so heavily sedated, I don't even know how I managed to cope. I can't even imagine the mess I was."
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"For what it's worth, I forgive you."
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
(sighing)
"I'm still, so sorry, Benjamin. I don't know how to go forward from here."
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"I just need to get through this day..."
FLASHBACK - BLACKWELL GRANGE - THE DINNER PARTY
INT. BILLIARD ROOM - NIGHT
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY slowly wanders into the BILLIARD ROOM, aimlessly. His eyes are fixated ahead of him. His footsteps are uncertain and wobbly. His lips are moving and he is whispering, but no words are coming out.
SGT. GRAY closes his eyes and holds his arms tightly against his chest.
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
(whispering; sorrowfully)
"Don't take him. We don't want to go."
SGT. GRAY is snapped out of his trance as his foot kicks into DR. BLACK's leg.
SGT. GRAY looks down and fully realizes where he is and the scene before him.
9.
With his heat racing, SGT. GRAY bends over to check DR. BLACK's pulse. He retracts his shaking hand and sets his eyes upon the bloody WRENCH.
SGT. GRAY looks up to the shadow in the doorway. DR. WALTER RAVEN stands up wide eyes.
DR. WALTER RAVEN
"What have you done?"
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"I-I-I don't..."
DR. WALTER RAVEN
"You killed him... we... we have to get rid of the body."
END OF FLASHBACK
SGT. GRAY takes a deep steady breath and reaches out for MRS. WHITE's hand. She takes it into her own, smiling a bit through her sad eyes. SGT. GRAY exhales his breath slowly, standing up.
SERGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"I suppose we should get settled in the dining room."
MRS. WHITE stands up and hugs him.
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
"No matter what happens, you are always going to be my boy."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL ROOM #1302 - CONTINUOUS
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK paces back and forth in her HOTEL SITTING ROOM. DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN sits in an armchair taking notes.
DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN
"My goodness, you have been through so much in such a short time."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"I-I-I don't know what to do moving forward. Judge Mauve says that I'll be exonerated, but I've had lawyers make grand promises they couldn't keep..."
10.
DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN
"Mrs. Peacock, you have had sexual relations with two different people in the two nights since Dr. Black and Mr. Clay passed away. A man - Greyson, and now a woman - this Judge Mauve. Tell me, are you acting in this way because of the unsettled feelings with Mr. Clay?"
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"It is possible..."
DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN
"Mrs. Peacock, that is a very unhealthy habit to begin this early in the grieving process."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"Dr. Prussian, I need to know how to get through the night."
DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN
"Are you experiencing suicidal thoughts?"
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"They are bringing us all down into the hotel's restaurant. They are going to bring up so much hurtful, painful information publicly. They are trying to pull all the inconsistencies and lies out of our alibis. I-I don't know how much more I can take. It's non-stop questioning, questioning, questioning..."
DR. JONAH PRUSSIAN
"I'll be here, Mrs. Peacock. After it is all said and done. I will be here waiting for you. We can talk about whatever happens for as long as you need to. I've already rented a room for the night. I am not going anywhere, Mrs. Peacock."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL LOUNGE - contINUOUS
SIR BENEDICT BLACK, DR. ANDREA ORCHID, and MR. REGINALD ASH sit together in a small circle of chairs. They are each holding a glass of sherry.
11.
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I'm honored to drink with you, Ash. It's been a long time."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I remember one summer you gave the staff the Fourth of July off and you hired valets and caterers. We drank so much wine in the gazebo!"
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I always get my butler drunk. It's the best way to find mutual trust. You've been good to me, Ash. I'm sorry Hugh treated you so poorly."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I suppose it's all water over the dam, now."
Dr. ANDREA ORCHID
"Not quite yet. We still have this evening to get through."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I only hope they didn't ransack the servant's quarters. I have so many personal letters from my wife hidden away."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"If it's hidden, they probably found it. The police are ruthless. They know no boundaries."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"Ian Masque deserves to die a slow, painful death."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"Let's keep that chatter down to a minimum until this investigation is over."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I'm sorry, it just bothers me so much."
12.
MR. REGINALD ASH
"The last time I spoke with Mabel she asked me to give up and move on. They are taking her memories away, brainwashing her..."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"He's not the only one with friends in high places. When Lord Lavender hosted his parties there was a young woman. I can't recall her name, striking green eyes though. She had this necklace that she used to hypnotize people. All fun parlor games, no doubt, but there could be some merit to it."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"At this point I'm desperate enough to go to Mr. Green... I'd try just about anything."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"I'll see what I can do."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I suppose we have about fifteen minutes until they begin. Shall we start meandering?"
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"I suppose."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL BILLIARD ROOM - moments later
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET plays a solo game of eight-ball by herself in the empty room. She leans down close to the table and pockets a striped, blue ball. GREYSON enters the room.
‌GREYSON knocks gently on the side of the pool table to announce his presence.
GREYSON
"Hey, I think they are starting to gather everyone into the dining room. I thought I'd let you know before a grumpy police officer shows up to tell you."
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
"Thank you, Greyson."
13.
GREYSON turns to leave the room but stops and turns back to MISS SCARLET.
GREYSON
"Come talk to me after? I want to make sure you're doing alright."
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
"I'm not sure..."
GREYSON is confused by MISS SCARLET's sudden distance.
GREYSON
"Oh, alright. I-I'm sorry, did I do something wrong."
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
"Look, it's fine that you are sleeping with my stepmother, but that woman and I are not one the best of terms right now, and I don't really think we should..."
GREYSON
"I only slept with her the one time. But I understand. Look, if you still want to hold the candlelight vigil for Edward and my sister, we can. But I get it if you don't want to."
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
"You weren't over this morning?"
GREYSON
"No, I was working."
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
(to herself)
"I suppose Patricia had another late night visitor..."
GREYSON chuckles, seeing MISS SCARLET's obvious jealousy and assumptions.
GREYSON
(nastily)
"Believe me, your stepmother doesn't have anything to offer that's gonna make me come back for a second helping."
GREYSON winks at MISS SCARLET on his way out of the room.
14.
MISS SCARLET smirks a bit as she takes a final shot on the pool table.
INT. PRATTON POLICE DEPARTMENT - HOLDING CELLS - CONTINUOUS
HERR KLAUS GOLD, MR. THALLO GREEN, and PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM sit in three separate holding cells all in a row.
MR. THALLO GREEN
(sarcastically)
"I suppose we should be grateful."
HERR KLAUS GOLD
"Grateful? We're all going to hang for our crimes!"
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Not I. My freedom is currently being purchased."
HERR KLAUS GOLD
"Well isn't that great for you. I suppose friend's freedom will be bought too?"
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
(paranoid)
"I keep telling them I didn't do anything on my own free will. They can't convict me. They won't!"
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Don't bother Victor. He's too worked up. This is his first time in captivity, isn't it."
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I'm very claustrophobic."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"I wouldn't get married to that lie. You worked underground in that crypt."
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I didn't have a choice."
15.
MR. THALLO GREEN
"You keep telling yourself that. You were just biding your time and had no ill-intention in your great, marvelous brain."
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I'm the rightful heir to Blackwell Grange."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"What the hell does that have to do with anything?"
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I wasn't going to say no to Hugh and be cast away from my birthright."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Jesus Christ... do you have any idea how many wars were started because someone thought they were entitled to something?"
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I don't care to discuss your worldly views."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"No, I don't suppose you would. I might start making a little too much sense. We can't have that."
HERR KLAUS GOLD
(changing the subject)
"I heard Forest on the phone earlier. Said something about Brown wrapping things up. We should know what is happening to us soon enough."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Seems a little hasty, doesn't it?"
HERR KLAUS GOLD
"Or a careless killer."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Perhaps. Personally, I think they know how in over their heads they are. They want to wrap this up nice and quick while keeping the dangerous people on good terms."
16.
HERR KLAUS GOLD
"That may be wishful thinking."
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Who knows. I am an optimistic guy, after all."
PROF. PLUM closes his eyes tightly and begins to breathe in and out rapidly.
MR. THALLO GREEN
"You good in there, Victor?"
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"What if my father doesn't pay for my freedom. Am I going to hang?"
MR. THALLO GREEN
"We're all going to hang sooner or later."
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"I don't it to end like this. It can't end like this. I'm finally free away from Hugh. I finally have control over my life. It can't end here because of this!"
MR. THALLO GREEN
"Calm down, Victor. Calm down. I'm sure there is somewhere out there in the world that cares enough about you to buy your freedom."
PROF. PLUM lowers his head into his hands and begins to cry.
PROFESSOR VICTOR PLUM
"No. I have no one."
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL DINING ROOM - conTINUOUS
SIR BENEDICT, DR. ORCHID, and MR. ASH make their way into the DINING ROOM. They take their seats at the large table in the center of the room.
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I dined here with my wife Beatrice year ago."
17.
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I remember that, Sir. You hosted the nurse's ball here during the restoration of Pratton Memorial."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"What a year that was!"
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"Here they come."
DR. ORCHID points to INSPECTOR BROWN who joins DET. AMARILLO on the platform-stage.
M. BRUNETE strolls over from the side of the room and sits down beside DR. ORCHID.
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"Is this seat taken?"
MR. REGINALD ASH
"You're fine, Alphonse. How are you doing?"
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"I'm sure you've heard the big secret by now..."
SIR BENEDICT looks to DR. ORCHID. They both shrug.
MR. REGINALD ASH
"No, I'm afraid we're out of the loop."
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"Edward Clay was my son."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"Alphonse, I had no idea."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"I'm so sorry. How awful!"
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"The hardest part has been realizing that I didn't even speak with him the night of his death. He was living his own life, I was living my own.
18.
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE (CONT'D)
Of course I caught him glancing at me throughout dinner... but..."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I am so, sorry. Alphonse, you stay with us. This is no time to grieve on your own."
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"I appreciate the sympathy and kindness, but I think it's time I get the hell out of town."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"I completely understand. I only wish Yvette could have done the same."
MME ROSE enters the DINING ROOM and spots SIR BENEDICT in the center of the room. He notices her and watches as she sets her canvas bag at a table in the corner.
SIR BENEDICT watches as MME ROSE begins to unpack her crystal ball, tarot cards, rune-stones, and multiple pendants, gemstones, and pendulums.
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I thought she was staying at a different hotel."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"Inspector Brown and Inspector Pry were insistent that everyone be here tonight."
NURSE SILVER and FIVEL DOVE enter the DINING ROOM and walk over towards MR. ASH, SIR BENEDICT, DR. ORCHID, and M. BRUNETTE.
NURSE AVA SILVER
"Here we are."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"Colonel Mustard told me the news."
NURSE SILVER smiles.
NURSE AVA SILVER
"It's true. Fivel is my son."
19.
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I'm so sorry Hugh kept you two apart. A mother should never be kept apart from her son."
DR. ANDREA ORCHID
"We don't need to dwell on the past. Enjoy the present. Happy moments are far and few between."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"And time is fleeting..."
FIVEL
"We're not coming back home."
NURSE SILVER sighs.
NURSE AVA SILVER
"I can't go back there. You understand, don't you?"
SIR BENEDICT nods his head.
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"I have half a mind to renovate the entire ground floor, inside and out. Those dark grey bricks are too menacing. I want Blackwell Grange to intrigue people with it's grandeur. I'm tired of the ghost-stories being whispered around town."
MR. REGINALD ASH
"That sounds very... expensive."
SIR BENEDICT BLACK
"We can afford it now that Hugh's bribers and blackmailers aren't dipping into our pockets."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK enters the DINING ROOM and looks around for a place to sit. She sees M. BRUNETTE at the main table in the center and turns towards MME ROSE.
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"Do you mind if I sit with you?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
(smiling cheerful)
"Go right ahead!"
20.
MRS. PEACOCK settles down in a chair across from MME ROSE.
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"Are you holding together, dear?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"I am. Death is a part of life. We both know that better than anyone else here."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"I suppose that's true. I just... can't help feeling terrible. This numb feeling inside of me is keeping me from feeling all the grief and pain I know is coming."
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"You're still in shock, Patricia. You've been under unimaginable stress. I don't need the sight to tell you that."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"What do you see? Humor me. What is coming next?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"It isn't good."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"I don't see how it could get much worse than this."
MME ROSE lowers her voice as her tone changes.
MADAME ROSE BLACK
"You need to keep her close and keep her safe."
MRS. PATRICIA PEACOCK
"What are you talking about?"
MADAME ROSE BLACK
(whispering)
"Vivienne."
Just then, MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET enters the DINING ROOM. M. BRUNETTE stands up from the center table and motions for her to come over.
21.
She nods to him and comes over. He presents her with a fresh pack of cigarettes.
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
"Thanks! You're a life saver."
MISS SCARLET opens the pack and quickly pulls out one.
M. BRUNETTE strikes a match for her. She leans in and lights her cigarette off of his flame.
MONSIEUR ALPHONSE BRUNETTE
"Any time. I have something a little strong if you want to smoke after this is all over."
MISS SCARLET smiles.
MISS VIVIENNE SCARLET
(laughing)
"Fuck, it's been a long time. I could use it."
MRS. WHITE and SGT. GRAY enter the DINING ROOM and sit down together at a small table near the central table.
MR. ASH looks over at MRS. WHITE but she does not look up at him. He sighs to himself.
MRS. BLANCHE WHITE
"Are you ready?"
SErGEANT BENJAMIN GRAY
"No."
SGT. GRAY looks over at INSP. BROWN, INSP. PRY, and DET. AMARILLO to see that all of their eyes are in his direction.
DR. RAVEN and MRS. GREEN enter the DINING ROOM together. They sit at their own table near the back of the room by MME ROSE and MRS. PEACOCK.
INSP. BROWN looks around the room and begins to count heads.
INSPector WINFIELD BROWN
"We're just missing Colonel Mustard and Master Boddy."
22.
DETECTIVE LOUIS AMARILLO
"I heard they got into a fight earlier. Maybe someone should go look for them."
EXT. AQUATINE VISTAS - KOI POND - CONTINUOUS
COL. MUSTARD stands at the edge of the pond, looking down at the gold, orange, and cream-colored koi fish circling and entwining one another.
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
(to himself)
"I'm sorry, Lorraine. I guess I'm not nearly half the man I thought I'd be."
COL. MUSTARD takes out his monocle and wipes the tears from his eyes.
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"I'm nothing but a failure. A murderer... a liar... a miserable failure."
GREYSON steps outside from the HOTEL HALLWAY.
GREYSON
(quietly)
"Colonel, they need you in the dining room."
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"Tell them I'll be right there."
GREYSON nods and leaves the man alone.
COL. MUSTARD inhales deeply through his nostrils.
COLONEL MICHAEL MUSTARD
"This could be the last time I take a breath outside as a free man."
COL. MUSTARD turns and enters the HOTEL, exhaling as he does.
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL LOUNGE - continUOUS
OFFICE MOSS walks to the corner of the room where MASTER BODDY sits eating from a bowl of cashews.

23.
OFFICER LEON MOSS
"Come on, let's go."
MASTER JOHN BODDY
"I don't want to be part of it."
OFFICER LEON MOSS
(impatiently)
"You don't got a choice. Come on."
OFFICER MOSS offers a hand out to help MASTER BODDY up from his chair.
MASTER BODDY ignores his hand and continues to eat the cashews.
OFFICER LEON MOSS
"Are we gonna do this the hard way?"
MASTER JOHN BODDY
"I already told you, I'm not going."
OFFICER MOSS grabs MASTER BODDY by the wrist, knocking the bowl of cashews from his lap.
OFFICER MOSS stands the teenager up on his feet and roughly escorts him towards the exit of the LOUNGE.
MASTER JOHN BODDY
"Take your hands off of me! Get off!"
MASTER BODDY struggles, twisting and trashing as OFFICER MOSS pushes him out into the HOTEL HALLWAY.
INT. AQUATINE VISTAS - HOTEL DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
INSP. BROWN watches as COL. MUSTARD enters the room and takes his seat alone at a table.
INSPECTOR WINFIELD BROWN
"That just leaves..."
INSP. BROWN can't finish his sentence before he hears the screaming from MASTER BODDY as OFFICER MOSS drags him into the room.
OFFICER MOSS releases MASTER BODDY's arm and closes the DINING ROOM doors - securely locking them inside.
24.
MASTER BODDY rushes the locked door and fights with it before giving up.
He throws himself down at the table that DR. RAVEN and MRS. GREEN sit at.
INSPECTOR WINFIELD BROWN
"Well, now that everyone is here, let's begin."
END OF EPISODE #23
